Fitness Goals of 2018

Happy first sunday of December Ya’ll.

So we all go  through a time in our lives where all motivation to work out is nonexistent. And if we are being honest, sometimes the idea of hitting the gym can make you want to strangle yourself, so you put it off.  For me, this then leads on to a series of excuses to be a no-show at the gym, which then demotivates me to eat that salad, so instead I reach for that chocolatebar and fries, and it’s all fun and games until… MY DAMN JEANS DON’T FIT NO MORE..!!!

Okay, so that was a bit dramatic, but this is usually my wake call and i’m currently in the process of planning to get back into shape. To be quite honest this past year hasn’t been my most active year in terms of fitness and healthy eating habits. I have spent the majority of the year celebrating, travelling, eating good and relaxing too much for my own good.

I’m not typically a new year ‘resolutioner’ ( is that even a word?). But i have decided to give this whole “new year new (fitter) me) a fair shot. I have signed up for  an 8-week fitness bootcamp course starting January 2nd 2018. It’s fair to say that the year is gonna start with a bang and no mercy.  This bootcamp is designed to kickstart your fitness journey and includes a diet plan as well, to help you develop/ restore healthy eating habits. On top of that i’m expected to undergo a detox, to help cleans the system of sugars, dairy products, and go partly vegan for the first few weeks Yiiiikes 😮 .

I’m really excited though and scared at the same time. My fitness level is quite shitty at the moment to be honest, so the goal for me is to get stronger,  reduce fat, tone up and gain muscle. I currently weigh in at 143 lbs. (64 kg) and looking to get down to at least 130 lbs. (58 kg), so a total weight loss of 13 lbs ( i’m ambitious huh?). Anyway that should be realistic, although the most import thing for me is to be content with my mirror reflection, which i honestly have NOT been lately.

I can’t wait to get started and hopefully smash the goals i have set for myself. I’ll start a new weekly series on the blog to keep you posted on my progress ( or lack thereof :p ) come January.   1. It’s a good idea to have some new years resolutions. Sharing them with the world should help as well, as it’s some kind of leverage to actually follow up on your resolution. Good luck on the journey, and I might just join in 🙂
